Description : Prepared by some of the world's leading New Testament scholars the NICNT series provides an exposition of the New Testament books that is thorough and fully abreast of modern scholarship yet faithful to the Scriptures as the infallible Word of God. While based on a careful study of the Greek text, the commentary introductions and expositions contain a minimum of Greek references. The NICNT authors evaluate significant textual problems and take into account the most important exegetical literature. More technical aspects—such as grammatical, textual, and historical problems—are dealt with in footnotes, special notes, and appendixes.

Leon Morris is another wise and judicious scholar. This is a very helpful volume and I find myself turning to it first when dealing with issues in John-although D. A. Carson's commentary on John is close behind.
Currents in Theology & Mission
The commentary proper is detailed, learned, discusses exegetical alternatives clearly, and locates Jesus in first century Judaism. This revised commentary is the evangelical counterpart to Barrett and Bultmann; it will be consulted much in the next generation—and deservedly so.
Librarians World
This enormous work breathes a warm, devotional spirit as it presents a lot of information that the adult Sunday school teacher and serious Bible student will enjoy.
Scripture Bulletin
The strengths of M.'s commentary, which are considerable, are to be found largely in his meticulously detailed discussion of the meaning of the text (with considerable attention being paid to matters of philological, geographical and historical).
