About the Author
J. Ligon Duncan, III, PhD, a native of Greenville, South Carolina, is a graduate of Furman University, and Covenant Theological Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri. In 1995 he received a PhD from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. In 1990 Duncan joined the faculty of Reformed Theological Seminary, Jackson, Mississippi. In 1996 Duncan became Senior Minister of First Presbyterian Church, Jackson, Mississippi, Presbyterian Church in America. Dr. Duncan, his wife, Anne, and daughter Sarah Kennedy, reside in Jackson.
