Dr. Bruce H. McRae is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America and a teacher of practical theology at Reformed Theological Seminary in Atlanta, Georgia. He earned a B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis, an M.Div. from Westminster Theological Seminary, a D.Min. from Fuller Theological Seminary, and an M.B.A. from Georgia State University. This version is essentially a word for word translation. It does not seek to edit out Marshall's repetition or produce a more popular version of this book. McRae has simply modernized the vocabulary where it seemed necessary to do so. John Murray calls it the
the most important book on sanctification ever written.
