Description:
Christ's sheep love the voice of the Good Shepherd.  If he is speaking through modern prophecy, they want to listen.  If he is not, they want nothing to do with it.  But if modern prophecy is a mixture of his voice and the voice of others, they want to know how to tell which is which.

Whatever they may believe about prophecy at the moment, Christians know that their final convictions on any subject must be decided by Scripture.  It is there that Jim Thompson's important book points us, in a study which is clear, brief, thorough and convincing.  The tone of his writing is brotherly and everything is pitched at a level which most readers will find accessible.

"This book deals with a question that no twenty-first century Christian can afford to ignore: does God-given prophecy continue in today's church, or doesn't it?  And, if it does, can those who announce such prophecies sometimes get things wrong?"
--From the Foreword by Stuart Olyott
