Author: Michael Spotts I have found this book helpful in recalling central moments of Church history. However, I must point out the GLARING and CONSPICUOUS absence of Saint Augustine. He is not even mentioned! If this was one's introduction to Church history, he would think Augustine never lived, let alone was the most important figure after Paul's time. I'm not surprised; it was written by a professor from Dallas Theological Seminary. This book is still useful and very "applicative". Make sure to pick up some other books too.
