Author: Rae This book is the contemporary version of Owen's classic. Lundgaard is able to put all the essential points of Owen into analogies that works for our day. What is most important, however, is that the author did not compromise the very meat of the classic.
This book taught me what I needed to know- that indwelling sin CANNOT be belittled. It is powerful and treacherous. And yet, by the grace, mercy, and immense power of our God, it is helpless if continually crucified with Christ on the cross.
We need to know who our enemy is and know that our God has DECLARED victory over it. Let no sin enslave you because in Christ, it has no power to do so.

Author: Julien Bowles (jbow52@comcast.net) What a great book. It is a "nuts and bolts" sort of book that not only tells you what you need to know but what to do about it and how to do it. It is an expose of the flesh and how it operates. A "how to" manual for holy living. John Owen was a great theologian but his writing style makes the Apostle Paul seem simple by comparison. This book takes Owen's thought and puts it into an easy to understand book. This book is really good for the small group, or any Bible study group for that matter.
