Monergism Review: This little book has great qualities. Even though I have larger volumes that cover more topics, this book covers all the basics. I find that I use this book more than my bigger volumes because this book gets right to the point. If there are still questions that remain unanswered I look in the bigger volumes. Many times Packer has sufficed; there is no need to go further. Each doctrine is backed with scripture references; the articles are roughly one page long. I own two copies of this book: one stays in my library the other comes abroad. If you are good at utilizing material this book is for you. If you are a new believer this book is for you. If you are a pastor, student, have a huge library, but are missing Packer, buy this book because it actually gets used. There is nothing intimidating about it. In less that 300 pages Packer manages to deal with roughly 94 different topics ranging from Predestination to Antinomianism. I honesty recommend this book to everyone serious about studying theology.    - B. K. Campbell
